The New Project.
This time around where pulling everyone together on the same project. It's main focus is to encourage those who are writers already and those who are aren't writers to finally give it a go.
-How might that work?
" 5 minutes ago, hell actually froze over. No there wasn't a million people running around screaming it burns. Instead there was countless sightings of friends, strangers, women, babies, men, and the beast of the fields to the birds in the sky being swallowed up in an icy flame. I wasn't really phased, except for the fact that none of this is happening to me. That's when I actually saw a familiar face. The one I dreamed about from time to time. Except it wasn't her face. Not how I remembered it at all. Her face was distorted in the form of a frozen agonized scream. The flame licking at her piece by piece. Slowly ripping at every layer of her being. I cast my eyes to the right out of disgust. This is when I see my self reflected in the mirror. Frozen in a giant flame. Eyelids burned away along with my eyebrows. The thickness of my pupils reduced to rolling dots across my eyes. I suddenly feel my heart falling into my thighs. My lungs crawling towards my brain. I want to close my eyes from the pain but I can't. Then the image of an old friend returns accompanied by sisters and brothers who have captured a piece of me over the years. Some of their bodies almost completely gone. Just a head dangling upon the inner wind of the "
Well that should be a decent idea for at least the writing half.
Can't actually place a picture or series of art to showcase alongside this at the moment. But you should see where this is headed. Basically same idea as before with the exception of it being just one-shot styled pieces it's going to be a self-created series.
Finally, which is where things get complicated or otherwise. You can work with any one or several members from either one piece or throughout the year.

The New Project will begin on February 1st and conclude on December 31st *2009*

As a short collab (with everyone), we could do something like an "I Am ___."
And everyone can get a chance to fill in the blank with the one word that defines them, and submit the list alphebetically (by username, and in the authors comments we can say exactly who's who).
At then at the very end, it could say "I Am X-Co" or "We are X-Co" or "We are" or something "We are ____."
Yeah, it is kind of corny and cliche, but, hey why not? It's short, simple, and it could stimulate the group!
